Introduction to MA Arabic:
This department of Arabic is one of the pioneer departments of the university. This department established in 1974, as an initially part of Institute of Arabic & Islamic Studies. Later on this department started its functions as part of the faculty of Arabic & Islamic Studies in 1988. The nature of this department is unique. Some programmes of Arabic, such as MA Arabic, offered only in this department.
This department offers Matric to PhD level programmes. The Department of Arabic has been able to revise its courses offered at M.A level with the help of Experts in different disciplines of Arabic. Similarly, MA Arabic & other courses in the subject are also up-dated accordingly.
AIOU has introduced a wide range of Master’s programs. MA Arabic is also one of them. It is a distance learning mode program with atmost five components:
- Study Material
- Assignments
- Workshops
- Examination
- Thesis
The University also sends study material to students for each course with guidelines to solve assignments and prepare exams.
All student of MA Arabic have to attend 2 Days Workshop for Each course. Moreover, in the last fourth semester, students have to to opt Thesis.
